Initial Situation

• The global captive financial services company had decided to establish a captive and integrated group-wide financial services unit

• The group-wide financial services unit would be characterized by a centralized group setup (HQ) and country-specific local FS organizations in the relevant markets

• The new entity required an appropriate governance framework documented by up-to-date policies for which they searched for support by zeb

Approach

The project consisted of two parts

• Defining the general setup of a six-part process (the policy lifecycle) when dealing with the group-wide financial services unit’s policies, namely…

  • Creating

  • Aligning

  • Approving

  • Implementing & Communicating

  • Managing & Maintaining

  • Documenting

• Policies

And complementing documentation (e.g. appendices, checklists) covering the group-wide financial services unit’s needs for clear governance and taking group requirements into account.
